My name is Joleyne but you can call me Jojo.

I am a Latina Illustrator who graduated from Syracuse University in May 2019 with a degree in Illustration and Computer Gaming. I specialize in Character design and story development with lots of influence from fashion, fantasy, and pop culture. As an artist, I focus on bringing light to marginalized issues and introducing more characters of color into creative spaces.

I have working knowledge of programs such as Maya and Unity as well as Adobe Creative Cloud. Some past roles that I’ve had include Illustration Chair for a hip hop magazine and Art Director for a LGBTQA+ magazine.

A goal for the future is to be a lead character designer for a video game company or better yet start my own! My favorite video game is Kingdom Hearts however right now I’ve been playing Bioshock and I’m enjoying it thoroughly. I play lots of games on the PS3, card games, board games, and mobile games.

I recently went to Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia for two weeks! You can say I’m an aspiring world traveler.
